I am not sure what to make of these cards.  From what I've seen, they started showing up on 'that major auction website' sometime in mid-2011.  They appear to be reprints which may or may not have been produced and/or licensed by Brooke Bond.  The two samples I own, are printed on extremely thin, smooth, high gloss paper with all black printing on the reverse of the cards.  The original Dinosaur Trail cards were printed on 'soft', 'fuzzy' paper with Red and Green printing.  
 
One seller states that, 'these cards are a special issue and were issued in sheet form of several cards.. And the buyer had to cut them out ‘along the dotted line’ and stick them in the album .. So as expected the edges are slightly uneven….'.  The two samples I own however have very clean edges and no evidence of 'dotted lines' although the original owner may have used a paper cutter to achieve the clean edges.  I supposed these could have been some sort of commemorative issue or even proof cards although the shiny card stock seems to argue against that.
 
In 2021 (2nd Qtr.), a different auction included a three-card strip of cards which look the same as these except they appear to be made of regular cardboard stock (see image below).
 
I would welcome input from anyone who might know the origin and/or purpose of these cards.
