These art cards were illustrated by George Baxter based on the Crystal Palace (London, UK) dinosaurs sculpted by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins.
 
Note: these same illustrations were republished in 1868 by Le Blond & Company though the colors were less vibrant (see separate listing in this website).  
 
Also, according to advanced collector and researcher, Robert Telleria, these cards and the 1868 by Le Blond & Company cards were both reprinted, possibly in the 1920's, by an unidentified company or person(s) who added a faux authentication to the cards which reads, "PUBLISHED OCT. 30, 1854, BY G. BAXTER, PROPRIETOR & PATENTEE, LONDON".
